At the request of Dasho Dzongdag, the Department of Revenue and Customs (DRC) conducted a comprehensive awareness program on the newly implemented GST. The session was attended by sector heads, regional officials, and other interested participants.
The presentation was followed by an interactive Q&A session, during which participants raised practical concerns related to implementation, including issues being circulated on social media platforms.
Dasho Dzongdag emphasized the importance of keeping the business community and the general public of Haa Dzongkhag directly connected with the GST office in Paro to enable timely clarification and guidance. While commending the DRC officials for their presentation, Dasho urged civil servants across all sectors and regional offices in the Dzongkhag to share collective responsibility in disseminating accurate information and supporting the effective implementation of national initiatives such as GST.
