Girina bridge under Eusu Gewog was soft-launched today by the Dzongdag. The bridge was constructed in 2018. The bridge will benefit some 75 households of the villages of Girina, Pajekha and Sangkiri.
A new road user group was also inaugurated as a measure to bring about community participation in maintenance of the road. The user group will function under a by-law developed by the members of the communities themselves. Among others, the group members will carry out maintenance of the road at least twice a year, and the members also collect membership fees annually and other penalties for breaching their duties.
