Launching of Nationwide Accelerated Dog Population Management and Rabies Control Program (NADPM & RCP)
As part of the Nationwide Accelerated Dog Population Management and Rabies
Program (NADPM & RCP) which is being carried out the 10 low risk Dzongkhags, Haa Dzongkhag is carrying out the program with constitution of two teams comprising of livestock technical staff and Desuup.
The formal launching of the NADPM & RCP in Haa Dzongkhag was celebrated in the Dzongkhag Veterinary Hospital Clinic on 29th March 2022 and was attended by Dasho Drangpon as chief guest with Officiating Dasho Dzongdag, Dzongkhag Tshogdue Thrizin, Gewog Thrizins, Mangmis, Gewog Administrative Officers and Dzongkhag sector heads as guests.
The NADPM & RCP in Haa will be carried out by two teams. One team will cover upper four geogs with the clinic set up at DVH, Tshelungkha while another team will cover two lower geogs with mobile clinic set up at four different locations (Dungkhag office, Sektena School, Bebji School and Sangbay gewog office). The NADPM & RCP will be carried out within two weeks starting from 29th March 2022 with the target of 100% sterilization and vaccination of free roaming dogs.
