โ€œ๐Ž๐ฎ๐ซ ๐๐š๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž, ๐Ž๐ฎ๐ซ ๐†๐ฅ๐จ๐ซ๐ฒโ€

In alignment with Haa Dzongkhagโ€™s commitment to environmental sustainability and community development, on 7th September 2024, a ๐ญ๐ซ๐ž๐ž ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž was completed in collaboration with the Youth Development Fund office and Golden Youth Award (GYA) participants.

This initiative was led by thirty students, from Gongzim Ugyen Dorji Central School, Chundu Armed Forces Public School, and Tshaphel Middle Secondary School, the day started with the awareness program with two GYA students delivering an awareness speech, followed by a dance by the students on the theme song โ€œ๐Ž๐ฎ๐ซ ๐๐š๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž, ๐Ž๐ฎ๐ซ ๐†๐ฅ๐จ๐ซ๐ฒ-๐๐ก๐ฎ๐ญ๐š๐ง ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐ฅ๐ข๐Ÿ๐žโ€ in three strategic locations in the town. 60 trees were planted at Yanthang ground, Bji Gewog, supported by the Youth Development Fund (YDF), Youth Volunteers in Action (Y-VIA), Save the Children, and Shift Bhutan. Dzongkhag Education Sector, Bji Mangmi, Architect, Scout teachers, and Dzongkhag Beautification and Environment Sectors, coordinated the event.

Todayโ€™s initiative is highlighted on the ๐’๐ก๐ข๐Ÿ๐ญ ๐๐ก๐ฎ๐ญ๐š๐ง which is a comprehensive national initiative to transition Bhutan towards a more sustainable and resilient future. It responds to global challenges like climate change, environmental degradation, and economic inequity.

The primary aims of this initiative include environmental restoration, awareness creation on environmental conservation, and fostering a sense of responsibility and ownership among the local youth towards ecological conservation efforts.
