Haa Dzongkhag received the Gaytom Serdrima – a Gaytongpa text developed in pure gold from the Office of the Holy Gold Script yesterday. The handing taking over ceremony was presided over the former Tsugla Lopon and was attended by the representatives from His Majesty’s Secretariat and Haa Dzongkhag Moenlam Chhenmo Committee members. The religious text was received with traditional ceremonies at Lhakhang Karpo and the public also received blessings.
The Gaytom Serdrima was developed by the Office of the Holy Gold Script, an extension of the Royal Kanjur Project. The religious volume cost Nu. 3.500 million, and was funded from the Haa Moenlam Chhenmo funds and the contributions from the general public of Haa.
The religious text, the first of its kind in the country, adds as a Nangten of immeasurable value for the Dzongkhag and the country at large, and is dedicated to the long life and wellbeing of His Royal Highness the Gyelsey.
