Haa Dzongkhag Administration and Haa Rabdey joined the Katsho community today to observe the sacred Bali Bongko Festival. Bali Bongko is not merely a festival, it is a living prayer deeply rooted in the community spiritual and cultural heritage. Celebrated once every three years, this sacred tradition dates back to the 12th century and embodies the harmonious blend of pre-Buddhist animist practices and Buddhist devotion. It is performed for peace, prosperity and well-being of our community, reinforcing social bonds and preserving our oral history and rituals.
