Haa Dzongkhag officially launched its 2025–2028 Economic Development Roadmap today. The roadmap outlines strategic programs in agriculture, livestock, tourism, infrastructure, and entrepreneurship, all aimed at changing Haa’s economic landscape.
With a clear result statement to raise the average household income from the current Nu. 284,000 to Nu. 700,000 by 2028, the plan focuses on unlocking the Dzongkhag’s full economic potential. Key interventions include climate-smart agriculture, high-value and niche agriculture and livestock production, value chain innovation, high-end tourism development, and rural enterprise promotion.
This roadmap is a promise to our people, a commitment to creating income opportunities, empowering farmers, and making Haa a model of inclusive growth,” said the Dzongdag.
The Dzongkhag Administration calls upon all stakeholders— relevant government agencies, private sector, development partners, and the people of Haa to join hands in delivering on this ambitious strategy.
On the same day, the Dzongkhag also launched its annual report, capturing key achievements, issues and challenges, and the way forward for improvement, among others.
