Haa Dzongkhag successfully conducted a significant Mass Cleaning Campaign as part of the Build-up Program for the upcoming 118th National Day celebration, promoting crucial environmental awareness and cleanliness across the region, which saw enthusiastic participation from staff of the Dzongkhag Administration, regional offices, local governments, town residents, students and community members. This immense collective effort resulted in the successful collection of a remarkable 324 sacks of waste, covering an area exceeding 40 km—from Chelela to Haa Town and along the roads in respective Gewogs—demonstrating the community’s profound commitment to a clean and beautiful Haa; the Dzongkhag Administration, therefore, extends its heartfelt and profound gratitude to all participants for their dedication, invaluable contribution, and exemplary sense of civic responsibility in making this essential environmental initiative a resounding success.
