Close to 200 amazing individuals representing the Zhung Dratshang, local leaders, businesses, public and civil servants, and community volunteers came together to clean up the entire 31-kilometer Meri Puensum Trail.

Beyond the massive cleanup, another highlight of the day was the introduction of reusable cloth bags as an eco-friendly alternative to single-use plastic bags. Upcycled from discarded clothes donated by residents, each bag is sold for Nu. 20 and is being made available across all shops in the Dzongkhag.

These small yet meaningful initiatives are designed to raise environmental awareness, encourage responsible waste management practices, and inspire collective community action in maintaining a clean and green Haa, in sync with our efforts towards E2B10X and the Dzongkhagโ€™s unique identity of Haa-Lay Mi Lay.
