Haa Dzongkhag administration held a productive meeting this morning with officials from Paro Regional Office of Infrastructure Development (ROID) and Department of Human Settlement to review ongoing urban progress and collectively resolve outstanding issues regarding the Haa Throm Local Area Plan (LAP), specifically focusing on plot reconfigurations and precinct rationalization.

The meeting strongly emphasized the critical need for a robust Haa Structure Plan to guide upcoming physical developments. A well-defined structural roadmap is essential to ensuring that infrastructure growth remains organized and economically viable, while firmly preserving Haaโ€™s unique architectural heritage and pristine environment. To this day, the beautiful Haa Valley retains its true authenticity, defined by its well-preserved traditional Bhutanese architecture. It is important that we implement proactive, long-term urban planning now, before it is too late.

The officials will continue their work over the coming months, guided by a clear set of deliverables.

Our sincere gratitude to Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, Royal Government of Bhutan for the continued support.
