The two-day second Rongtse Nye Festival started today. The inaugural one was launched by Hon. Prime Minister last year.
The Festival was graced by Hon. Dago Tsheringla as the Chief Guest today.
The Festival has been initiated for unlocking the economic and cultural potential of Sangbaykha Dungkhag.
The cultural event will be an annual feature which will be held around the time of the annual Rongtse Nye Tshechu which is being held on the 10th day of the 10th Bhutanese month every year.
The highlight of day’s program included a Nublang show, a initiative that was pursued by the Dzongkhag Livestock Sector with technical support of the National Biodiversity Centre.
The Festival has started to become as a platform for launching local livestock and agriculture produce, an event for cultural entertainment, community bonding, and a popular event for tourist attraction.
The Dzongkhag Administration takes this opportunity to thank our sponsors; namely, the Department of Tourism, Bhutan for financial support under ESP, Department of Media, Creative Industry & Intellectual Property, Sangbaykha Drungkhag Administration, Gakiling and Sangbaykha Gewogs, and everyone who has contributed to this beautiful event.
