The greening program for Haa Throm was launched today as part of the celebration of His Majesty’s birthday today. Lam Neten, Dzongdag, Drangpon, Hon. MP, LG members, Dzongkhag Sector heads, the business community and Throm residents attended the launch program. More than 200 evergreen trees (of different varieties that would grow well in Haa) will be planted within the Throm to beautify the landscapes. The plantation will be completed by April 2024. It will be a joint effort of the Dzongkhag Administration, Throm residents and De-Suups, with technical support from Jigme Khesar Strict Nature Reserve and Haa Range Forestry.
