The second day of the familiarisation tour showcased the unique charm of Haa, where rich cultural heritage meets pristine nature. Twenty Bhutanese tour operators began the day by visiting the sacred Lhakhang Karpo and Lhakhang Nagpo, two of Bhutan’s oldest temples, built by the Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo in the 7th century as part of the 108 temples constructed across the Himalayas to subdue the demoness.

Participants then enjoyed a traditional lunch at a local homestay, complemented by a live Hoentey-making demonstration, offering an authentic taste of Haa’s living culture. In the afternoon, they experienced Haa’s crystal-clear rivers through a memorable catch-and-release fly-fishing adventure.

Haa truly stands as Bhutan’s hidden gem where timeless spirituality, warm hospitality, breathtaking landscapes, and sustainable adventure create unforgettable experiences.@ Department of Tourism, Bhutan
