On 1st September 2026, interns Tandin Gyeltshen, Sonam Wangchuk, and Ngedrup Tshokey Wangmo conducted a field visit to Tobgayling Mebar Heritage in Yangthang, Haa, to explore the tourism potential of Haa Dzongkhag. The visit offered an opportunity to experience Haa’s cultural heritage, traditional cuisine, local hospitality, natural surroundings, and community-based tourism opportunities firsthand.The team toured the heritage property and observed how its traditional Bhutanese architecture has been thoughtfully blended with modern facilities. The visit also included experiences such as Hoentay, Menchu, yak heritage, traditional games, and archery.
