The Haa Monsoon Football Tournament 2026 concluded today with a thrilling final between Dagana Dzongkhag and Samtse Dzongkhag. In an exciting and closely contested match, both teams finished at 2โ2 after regulation time. The championship was decided through a penalty shootout, where Dagana Dzongkhag held their composure to secure a 5โ4 victory.
With this remarkable triumph, Dagana Dzongkhag successfully defended the title, becoming back-to-back champions of the Haa Monsoon Football Tournament for two consecutive years. The champions, Dagana Dzongkhag, were awarded a cash prize of Nu. 150,000, along with the Championship Trophy, while the runners-up, Samtse Dzongkhag, received a cash prize of Nu. 100,000 in recognition of their remarkable performance.
