The Haa town hall was officially inaugurated today, followed by a familiarization zomdu with town residents and business owners. Speaking at the event, Dzongdag emphasized that the facility must be optimally utilized to ensure a strong return on investment.
Attendees welcomed the successful completion of the Local Area Plan review, which resolved all 19 outstanding household-related cases, marking an important milestone in improving urban planning and public service delivery.
Discussions also covered the Dzongkhag’s plans and programs, including the “Haa-Lay Mi Lay” branding initiative and the shared community responsibility of maintaining a clean, healthy, and beautiful town. This includes effective waste management alongside strict compliance with alcohol and tobacco control measures.
The Dzongkhag team also presented the Standard Operating Procedures for waste management and substance control, reaffirming its commitment to working hand-in-hand with the community for effective implementation.
