This morning, the Haa Monsoon Football Tournament 2026 kicked off with a bangโ16 teams, representing 11 Dzongkhags and 2 Thromdes, battling it out on the pitch. With 288 civil servants traveling from as far as Trashigang and Samdrup Jongkhar, it is truly a show of civil service spirit through sports.
The action began with an electrifying opener between Haa Dzongkhag Administration and Trashigang Dzongkhag Administration, setting the tone for what promises to be an unforgettable weekend.
Running through July 7, this tournament is a celebration of teamwork and resilience, and a platform where fellow civil servants connect, network, compete, and grow together. But the goal doesnโt end on the field. Through this event, we also shine a spotlight on Haaโs stunning landscapes, vibrant culture, and warm hospitality, turning visitors into ambassadors and boosting local livelihoods along the way.
