On 21 April 2026, Haa Dzongkhag kickstarted an all-out awareness campaign on integrated waste management, along with measures to control smoking in public places and the sale and serving of alcohol to minors, as adopted during the recent Dzongkhag Tshogdu. The program began at Tshaphel Middle Secondary School.
Officials emphasised the need for strict implementation and compliance, noting that these measures are essential to achieving the “Haa Lay Mi Lay” vision. Teachers and students were encouraged to report any violations.
The campaign will continue in the coming days across other schools, gewogs, and thromde communities.
